The Bandier music business master’s program (M.S.) is offered in partnership with the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Application information and requirements are listed below.

Deadlines

  • Application deadline: January 15 for priority admission. Applications will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the spring if space is available.
  • To be considered for merit-based awards, please submit your application by February 1.
  • The Bandier music business master’s program currently does not offer fall or spring admission.

Step 1: Apply to the Syracuse University Graduate School

Required Materials
  • Two letters of recommendation. Consult online application for details.
  • Academic transcript. Unofficial transcript uploaded to the online application. If you are admitted, an official, degree-bearing transcript must be mailed to the University. Applicants must complete a U.S. bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent in another country) before starting a graduate program.
  • Personal statement/essay. Describe in approximately 500 words your main academic interests, why you wish to study for the degree you have chosen, why you wish to study at Syracuse University, how you expect to finance your studies, and your plans after you receive your degree. Upload directly to the online application.
  • Application fee. A non-refundable application fee of $75. See online application for details.
  • Test scores.The GRE is not required, but scores will be reviewed if submitted.

Step 2: Complete the Online Video Interview

Interview Instructions

Online video interview submitted via Kira Talent. You will receive an invitation link a few days after you submit your application. Each interview includes 4-6 questions and could be a combination of video questions/answers and written questions/answers. You will have a chance to answer practice questions, but the actual interview questions will not be available until you begin the interview. No prior preparation is necessary.
