Chaz Barracks, a Future Professors Fellow in the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies, and Nick Piato, an instructor of music education in the Setnor School of Music and School of Education, co-presented on The SENSES Project at the Imagining America National Gathering in Providence, Rhode Island.
The theme of the conference was “Radical Reckoning, Invoking the Elements for Collective Change.” Barracks and Piato DJed with music created by SENSES students, as well as audio recordings of SENSES students talking about their involvement in SENSES and how it has become a central part of their University experience. Piato is program coordinator for The SENSES Project, an initiative that seeks to provide students with a creative outlet through music creation and podcasting.
