Sarah Preston (She/Her) is a stage manager from Phoenix, Arizona. During her time at Syracuse University she has worked hard to ensure her education supported her goal of being a well-rounded stage manager and community member. She has used her second major, political science, to bring an informed and compassionate viewpoint into rehearsal rooms that fostered a healthy creative environment on even the most politically charged projects. Her goal of a well-rounded education also led her to pursue opportunities in technical direction. She took classes in scenery construction, Auto CAD, and technical design. She even worked in the scene shop for a year.
In her final semester Sarah studied in New York City through the Tepper Semester program. While there, she interned with Red Bull Theater working as an Assistant Zoom Coordinator on 6 benefit livestream readings and 1 livestreamed production of Romeo and Juliet that virtually toured middle schools and highschools around the country. Through this work she honed her script change tracking skills and became well versed in troubleshooting technology over Zoom.
Sarah is passionate about using theater as a tool for social justice. She looks forward to working with her fellow theater artist to create meaningful change in the world while also leaving a positive impact on the theater industry as a whole.
