Adam Saifudeen

Adam Saifudeen is a director from New Orleans, LA. During their time at Syracuse University, Adam found an interest in directing while obtaining a degree in Theatre Management. Some of Adam’s assistant directing credits include SU Drama’s Mainstage production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull and a student directed production of Annie Baker’s Circle Mirror Transformation. They were also able to find opportunities outside of Syracuse’s campus by assistant directing a production of The Comedy of Errors at Santa Cruz Shakespeare. They eventually gained enough experience to fully direct a production of the play Mud by Maria Irene Fornes.

Most recently, they have gotten to work with the Vineyard Theatre with the director Tyler Thomas while also taking directing classes through the SU’s Tepper Program. They plan to remain in New York City at the end of the semester to pursue a career in directing, hoping to primarily focus on new plays and underproduced work.
