McKenna Vargas

McKenna is a stage manager from Orange County, California. After first finding the field of stage management her sophomore year of high school, she has gone on to spend much of her college career stage managing in various capacities. At Syracuse Stage she worked as the stage and tour manager for the Backstory Program in the Education Department as well as the Stage Management Intern for The Last Five Years  directed by Jason Alexander. She also served as the Stage Manager for SUNY Cortland’s production of Dangerous Liaisons. In her final semester she found herself interning in General Management at Primary Stages and with the Mobile Unit at The Public Theatre in New York City. She has also worked in House Management and Carpentry. Through her experience and education, McKenna has developed a positive, collaborative, can-do attitude which she brings to every project she works on. Her goals in theatre include telling important stories in contemporary ways, finding ways to make theatre more accessible and touring. Some other interests include travelling, cooking, and the Green Bay Packers.
