Lia Chapman

Lia is a stage manager and aspiring theater educator from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a recent graduate of Syracuse University, where she was able to sharpen and hone her organizational, technical theater, and communication skills.

In addition to stage managing and interning at SU Drama and Syracuse Stage, Lia has held stage management internships at Interlochen Presents, Seattle Children’s Theatre, PROTOTYPE Opera Festival, and Greater Boston Stage’s The Young Company, where she also taught a workshop entitled “Disability in Theatre and Media.” Last semester she worked as a costuming cast member at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

Lia has a passion for new work, and for theater by and for children. Her goal as both a stage manager and an educator is to create calm, inclusive environments where creativity can flourish. When she is not working in theater, she can be found writing, bowling, and playing with her dog.
