Title: Electric Cigarette Smoking Solution for Tobacco Cessation

Product Name: BUMP!

Topic/Problem description:

The difficulties of tobacco cessation is not only because of nicotine addictions, but also the value behind cigarettes. Smoking provides a platform to socialize, promote relationships, and avoid overstressed emotions. These parts create a huge and complex challenge for smokers quitting cigarettes.

People who are striving to quit cigarettes always face dilemmas and challenges. Peer pressures from party smoking, stress and anxiety from nicotine withdrawal symptoms, uncomfortable experience from nicotine replacement therapies, and smoking pressures from people with higher social status are the main reasons people feel embarrassed to deal with or fail to refuse the cigarette in smoking scenarios. Quitting tobacco is not only a battle with cigarettes, but also a battle with different people and social norms.

Solution:

Developing an innovative approach to preserve the intrinsic experiences associated with smoking while minimizing cigarette consumption, I propose utilizing a customized e-cigarette as an alternative device. This e-cigarette is equipped with two modes to address various smoking situations. In EC mode, it functions akin to a vape, but incorporates an automatic cessation feature when excessive smoking occurs. In Bump! Mode, it replicates the experience of traditional cigarettes, operating for a duration of 3 to 10 minutes, facilitating social smoking and avoiding uncomfortable situations arising from smoking invitations.
