Community Art Projects

See what is possible poster project with the learning disability association of central New York and the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse: 2006 2004-2006

The children produced artwork inspired by the museum collections, and utilizing Photoshop projected onto a screen, we designed individual postcards for the children. From this work, I designed a collaborative poster, which was printed by the Everson Museum of Art for use by the Museum and the Learning Disability Association of CNY.

Dreamworks: 2004

Produced a poster for Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute’s Museum of Art in Utica, N.Y., in collaboration with the Learning Disability Association of Mohawk Valley utilizing digital technology.

Mapping a Community: 2002 2001-2002

Artist-in-residence at Fowler High School, Syracuse City School District. Sponsored by the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Produced a site-specific piece of artwork, working with a group of 20 high school students that addresses issues specific to the community.

Connected Voices: 2001 2000-2001

Connected Voices Sculptural piece produced in collaboration with the families of Down syndrome children. Project sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Central New York and the New York State Senator John A. DeFrancisco arts and cultural grant program.
