Cornelia Brewster received a bachelor of music degree in flute and music education from the Eastman School of Music and a master of music degree in flute and music literature from the University of Wisconsin.

She has performed as a member of the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Birmingham, Alabama; the Utica Symphony Orchestra in Utica, New York; and the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. Her teaching career includes positions at Kansas State College in Pittsburg, Kansas; Kirkland College; and Hamilton College. She is currently an instructor of flute at Syracuse University and Hamilton College. In addition, she is a member of the Jewel Wind Quintet and freelances in the Central New York area.
