Alpha Newberry is a photographer and filmmaker. His photographic discipline springs from an enduring interest in the natural world, how its comprehension escapes us, and how its presence can be felt and expressed.
As a film-maker he has worked extensively and across departments on sets ranging from small documentaries to nationally-aired television shows with budgets in the tens of millions of dollars. He has an A.B. in Philosophy and Spanish from Wabash College and is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Art Photography at Syracuse, where he teaches Photography and Film and manages the facilities and equipment cage.
