The School of Art is proud to share that four ceramics alumni have appeared in recent issues of Ceramics Monthly, the world's most widely read ceramics magazine. Gerald A. Brown '18 and Mike Tavares '18 were interviewed for the January 2021 issue about the Clay Siblings' Project, their nonprofit educational initiative. The February 2021 issue features a studio visit with Andrea Denniston G'16 and Seth Guzovsky '10, who live and work in Floyd, Virginia.

The Syracuse University Singers are featured on the American Choral Directors Association's new compilation album "Romantic American Choral Music" (Naxos) featuring college and university ensembles. Directed by Professor John Warren, the Singers perform "Mass in C Major, Op. 57: I. Kyrie" (track 2) and "The Shepherd's Vision, Op. 63: Sing Hallelujah to God" (track 14).

Drama Department to Virtually Present New Theatrical Work Inspired by Syracuse University’s 150th Anniversary

Inspired by Syracuse University’s 150^th anniversary, the Department of Drama in the College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) will virtually present “Impact: Past, Present, Future,” a new theatrical piece that will be performed live in a series of four staged readings, beginning on Monday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. Subsequent episodes will be held on Feb. 22, March 8 and March 22. Syracuse University Marching Band Members Perform with CBDNA Intercollegiate Marching Band

Ten members of the Syracuse University Marching Band (SUMB) will be performing in the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Intercollegiate Marching Band (IMB). They will join nearly 1,500 nominated performers from 200 bands in 45 states and Puerto Rico, all working together to produce a virtual college marching band show. This unique project will combine college marching bands from different conferences, regions and styles in a single performance. The IMB will perform “End of Time” by Beyonce in a video that will premiere online on the IMB YouTube channel and at the stadium during halftime of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game tonight, Jan. 11.
