Ann Clarke, associate professor of studio arts in the School of Art and dean emerita of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, has the solo exhibition “Strong Forces” at Novado Gallery in Jersey City, New Jersey, through March 27.
The exhibition features large-scale, hand-knitted rugs and tufted sculptures that are about time, aging, and empathy and about the process in which it is made. Clarke will appear in person at the gallery on February 27 from 1-4 p.m. She recently concluded the solo exhibition “Lessons of Empathy in Wonderland” at the Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn, New York.
