Vicki Smith delivers supportive services for all College of Visual and Performing Arts students, including academic and personal advising for students on probation; is active in the career services network; oversees the VPA undergraduate listserv; and oversees the peer advising program. She assists in new student registration and opening week orientation and works collaboratively with other Syracuse University offices to offer supportive services and resources.

Smith was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and resided in San Diego before moving to Syracuse with her family, which includes her husband Fred and daughter Laurin, a graduate of SU’s School of Education. She holds a master’s degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in dance performance from Brooklyn College.
