Nan Wang joins the Department of Film and Media Arts as an assistant teaching professor of computer art and animation in Fall 2024.

Prior to coming to Syracuse University, Wang worked as a technical artist at Shanghai Sunborn on the project “Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium” and at Shanghai Yuqi Technology on the project “Fantasy Blade.” She also served as a visiting teaching professor of computer art and animation at Syracuse University.

Wang’s technical expertise focuses on innovative art and programming solutions for game and animation pipelines. She is proficient in 3D modeling, lighting, shading, rigging, animation, and rendering. Major personal projects include “Text-Image Translator,” an interactive program that generates abstract images through image processing technology; “A Speculative Space,” a 3D VR game project; and “Hello Wawa!”, a low-poly game at Global Game Jam 2017.

Wang holds an M.F.A. in computer art from Syracuse University and a B.E. in digital media technology from Beijing Language and Culture University.
