Erica Blust is responsible for the College of Visual and Performing Arts' internal and external communication. She works closely with Dean Michael Tick as well as the college's academic and administrative leadership, particularly in the areas of recruitment and advancement.

Blust is a member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), an international professional association, and is a past member of the executive committee for CASE’s District II Accolades and Achievements program. CASE has recognized her work at VPA with a national bronze award for magazine publishing improvement and three regional awards (one silver, two bronze) for the college’s magazine.

Blust has worked for the college since 1996. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in English from Skidmore College and a master of arts degree in magazine journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
