Alex Méndez Giner, an assistant professor of film in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ (VPA) Department of Transmedia, will have his new short film “Writer’s Block” premiered at the Irvine International Film Festival in California on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
“With major film distributors and Academy Award-winning judges, the festival has grown to become a thrilling place to swap perspectives, merge ideas and engage in eye-opening debates,” says Méndez Giner.
In “Writer’s Block,” a writer in the middle of her creative process receives a series of anonymous packages with morbidly disturbing content. This mysterious intrusion into her life ignites a war between her anxiety and the work she is struggling to create. View the trailer on Vimeo.
