Dianna Miller and Ralf Schneider, assistant professors of industrial and interaction design in the School of Design, presented a paper on August 6 titled “Creating a Spatial Computing Environment for Design Research and Strategy” at the Academic Design Management Conference ADMC20, “Impact the Future by Design.”
The paper envisions a model that enables remote innovation teams to collaborate with a greater sense of tangibility in an Alternative Reality environment. Schneider and Miller surveyed the competitive landscape with an eye toward potential business models and a interface paradigms, supported by patent research conducted by the New York State Science and Technology Law Center.
