Graham Warner ’02 G’13, chief operating officer of Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Bank (GTB) Americas, will deliver the 2018 convocation address to bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates of Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) at the college’s convocation ceremony on Saturday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
As the chief operating officer, Warner leads an organization that provides innovative cash management, trade finance, trust and securities solutions for corporate and financial institution clients. Warner works in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver strategic transformation by way of day-to-day operations, business development, capital planning, finance and talent management as well as regulatory engagement.
Warner is a member of Deutsche Bank’s GTB Americas Executive Council. Previous leadership roles include his tenure as Deutsche Bank’s global head of online, FX, liquidity and investments product management as well as Americas regional head of GTB product development and chair of the Americas Digital Working Group. In this capacity, he was highly sought after as an industry speaker on blockchain technology in Fintech.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Warner spent eight years at Citigroup as a vice president in various roles within the transaction services, commercial banking and private wealth divisions based in the United States and Hong Kong. He managed complex global products and operations focused on strategic development and operational excellence.
At Syracuse University, Warner earned a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree in speech communication and information management and technology from VPA and the School of Information Studies and a master of science (M.S.) degree in information management from the School of Information Studies, where today he serves as a member of the Board of Advisors. He also holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
