Post-Graduate Fellow, Museum Studies
Before joining the faculty of the School of Design, Stokoe was the director of education at the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) in Syracuse. During her time at the MOST she delivered curriculum-based programs and enrichment throughout the local community in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Stokoe continues to foster partnerships within the local community to deliver STEM education and is passionate about reaching out to underserved populations.
Prior to her work in Syracuse, Stokoe worked in the museum field as retrospective conversion coordinator at Union Theological Seminary, New York City; curator, the Beacon Museum, Whitehaven, U.K.; and assistant keeper, Kendal Museum of Archaeology and Natural History, Kendal, U.K.
Stokoe is an Associate Member of the Museums Association in the United Kingdom, and has served on the board of the Council for British Archaeology as their National Liaison Officer. In 2012, Stokoe received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Obama for her work within the museum field.
