Artist Statement

Before last year I hadn’t realized that all that I’ve been exploring are just different variants of the enduring motif of "Beauty and the Beast." It depicts a dynamic that summarizes the whole journey of self-exploring and self-reconciliation: at some point, the hunter, the beauty, and the beast have all given away a hint of their secretive (or not) inner beast. Instead of highlighting the beauty and the beast the way the story is usually told, I choose to explore the duality of the hunter and the beast in my story, revealing the impact of the beauty through their trip seeking for lost bullets. This visual thesis is only an introduction to my story; the journey is yet to come.
