Artist Statement

I identify myself as an interdisciplinary artist. My practice involves a constant dialogue with the past—present, grounded in the quest to shape a glossary of grief, represented by the Farsi word "غم," with a particular emphasis on class, gender, and language-oriented grief. Storytelling acts as the entry point into my non-linear and fragmented practice. I draw inspiration from collective memory and the remembrance of refusal on both an individual and collective scale, merging these shattered dreams, stories of lost and forgotten things, double lives, and imaginary lovers.

These narratives unfold as distinct and immersive encounters — a chronicle that unites people while offering them the opportunity to both savor and unravel it.
