"A tamed beast," this is how I described myself to those closest. The oppression resulting from a long-term stifling relationship with my father largely destroyed me. It resulted in me becoming passive and no longer having the courage to express my thoughts in front of my father. My project is fueled by my relationship with my father and an attempt to forge my own identity and heal myself within that relationship's stifling and confining. I am opposed to oppressive behaviors in any relationship. This is the guide in my artwork.
