Environmental and Interior Design Program One of House Beautiful’s ‘Best Schools for an Interior Design Education’

The environmental and interior design (EDI) program in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ School of Design was recognized by House Beautiful as one of the “best schools for an interior design education.” The article notes that “mixed with a broad liberal arts education, students are taught sustainable design practices, an understanding of the business of design, and to value the concerns of people.”

Through the exploration of the art and architecture of environmental design, EDI students solve problems in a broad range of built environments. The curriculum and projects support the professional, multidisciplinary philosophy and foster the creation of humane, sustainable environments for people.

The EDI program is also ranked among the“Most Admired Interior Design Schools” by leaders and hiring managers in DesignIntelligence.
