As an industrial designer, I value the emotional connection established between men and objects. Drawing and modeling connect me to my child self to be able to understand the world around me in a different scope. To me, design not only serves a single problem solving purpose, but also to elevate the definition of the object which to further emotionally connect with their users.
Remake:
Instead of throwing the used up stationery away, the afterlife of them could have a sustainable and educational meaning, re: planting a used up pencil to grow flowers by having the eraser scatter as the fertilizer; it could be an educational experience for children; plant the notepad paper to become trees and flowers.
