This fall, Syracuse University and the College of Visual and Performing Arts welcomed back alumni for Orange Central, a homecoming celebration. Two alumni from the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies were honored at the University’s Alumni Awards Celebration. Supermodel and women’s advocate Emme ’85 received the George Arents Award, the University’s highest alumni honor, and Evin Floyd Robinson ’12 G’14 , co founder of New York on Tech, received the Generation Orange Award for young alumni who have made significant contributions to their communities and to the University. He was honored with his New York on Tech co-founder, Jessica Santana ’11, G’13.

Other celebrations included those of the Syracuse University Marching Band. Alumni were able to meet current band members and played with the band in the Carrier Dome.
