Legendary pianist and conductor Leon Fleisher visited Syracuse University for a series of events from September 29 to October 2. Fleisher launched the 2015-16 University Lectures series in Hendricks Chapel, performing a selection or two and engaging in a conversation with Ralph Zito, chair of the Department of Drama. He also held two master classes in the Setnor School of Music and conducted the SU Symphony Orchestra for a performance in Setnor Auditorium.

The three events in the Setnor School were presented as part of the Baker Artist Series. Founded in 2013 with a grant from the Dexter F. & Dorothy H. Baker Foundation, the Baker Artists Program allows the Setnor School to offer a more robust on-campus residency program and provides support for music majors to take master classes and attend workshops and performances in major music cities.
