MUSIC AUDITIONS

Please select the music category for which you will be auditioning. Location and date options will appear as you complete the process. 

Please also note:

An audition is required for all applicants applying to Bachelor of Music and to the Bachelor of Arts in music. No audition is required for the Bachelor of Science in recording and allied entertainment industries.

We regret that regional auditions are not available for percussion or organ applicants. Also, please note that piano auditions will not be available at Greenberg House.

Accompaniment

All auditions are performed unaccompanied, with the exception of vocal auditions. Voice applicants must provide their own accompanist at regional audition locations.

Registration deadline

You may audition before or after you submit your application, but must register at least two weeks prior to your chosen audition date. If audition dates are full, you may submit a taped audition in lieu of auditioning in person.

Auditioning on multiple instruments

Applicants who plan to audition on multiple instruments should contact the Office of Recruitment and Admissions at 315-443-2769. You will not be able to register twice.

Register only once

All applicants should only register once online. Any duplicate registrations on separate dates will be deleted.

You may not audition on electric instruments

(electric guitar, electric bass, etc.)

You may not audition on auxillary instruments

(piccolo, bass clarinet, English horn, etc.)
