As a student in VPA, you will have the opportunity to learn from a very accomplished faculty as well as the many visiting artists, scholars, and critics who come to campus. Our students are actively engaged in scholarly research, making art, exhibiting, and performing.

Because international students are such an important part of our community, SU has a number of offices and programs dedicated to helping you make the transition and have a safe and fulfilling experience in the United States.
- The Office of Multicultural Affairs is home to many international student organizations, including the Chinese Student and Scholar Friendship Union, the Korean Student Association, Asian Students in America, and the Hong Kong Cultural Organization, just to name a few.
- Our English Language Institute (ELI) at SU is an option for students who wish to study English and is also available to international students who are offered conditional admission, but need to complete required levels of English proficiency before they are fully admitted to their program of study.
