Students work intensively in their respective majors while taking advantage of all Syracuse University has to offer. Options are available for completing minors and, in many cases, second majors outside of music. Students accomplish all this while still practicing their instruments, attending rehearsals, and giving recitals. The Setnor School is committed to providing professional-level training to young musicians within the context of a large research university.

An audition is required for all students seeking admission to the Setnor School of Music except those applying to the Bandier Program for Music and the Entertainment Industries (bachelor of science degree). Students are responsible for submitting their audition in-person or by mail.

Please note that if you are completing the Common Application, the Arts Supplement is not required.
