The Syracuse University Oratorio Society accepts new members by audition. The choir rehearses from late August through May on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and presents four or five concerts during the season. Our rehearsal and concert schedules are challenging and regular participation is essential for the highest level of excellence that we strive for. Our reward is the privilege to perform with some of the finest musical talents.

Auditions are held in August at SU's Crouse College. Candidates are asked to vocalize, sight sing, and perform aural tests. The duration of the audition is approximately 15 minutes.

Entrance into the choir is dependent on a selective audition to determine placement, readiness and balance in the choir. Current members of the choir are re-auditioned every three years or at the discretion of the director.
