College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) students who are serving as creative instructors of this year’s Talent Agency Summer Intensive will exhibit their work July 27-Aug. 11 at the Link Gallery in the Nancy Cantor Warehouse, 350 West Fayette St., Syracuse. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 27, from 3:30-6 p.m.
Talent Agency exists to serve Syracuse-area high school students from economically disadvantaged communities by providing a consistent means for art and design portfolio development and mentorship. The instructors serve as role models, teaching the students the importance of art exhibition and the artist’s profession.
In this exhibition, the Talent Agency instructors showcase great ability in different art media and techniques in printmaking, ceramics, oil and acrylic painting, photography and drawing. The students exhibiting work are from VPA’s School of Art, School of Design and Department of Transmedia; they include Chelsey Albert G’18, Asal Andarzipour G’17, Adriana Bianchi G’18, Nada Odeh G’18, LaNia Roberts ’18, Andrew Pappas G’18 and Taro Takizawa G’17.
