The Hendricks Chapel Choir will collaborate with the Black Celestial Choral Ensemble (BCCE) and the Concert Choir from the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts to present a special Sung Evening Prayer on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel.
The event will commemorate Black History Month and will also feature appearances by the Rev. Rhonda Chester from Syracuse University’s United Methodist Ecumenical Campus Ministry and the Revs. Pedro A. Castro Jr. and Stephanie D. Castro of the University’s Historically Black Church ministry. Featuring more than 100 singers, the event will end with a collaborative performance of Richard Smallwood’s “Total Praise.”
Sung Evening Prayer at Hendricks Chapel is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Q1 and Irving Garage.
