Lehman began his career representing recording artists, producers, songwriters, actors and businesses related to entertainment in 1982. He has been successful in using his wide scope of relationships to integrate key corporate brands with heritage music properties. In 2013, Allman’s “Midnight Rider” was featured in a national Geico commercial; in 2016 the same song will be used for a national Ford Motor Company commercial. In 2013 Rev Run appeared in a Lincoln Town Car commercial for the Super Bowl and is currently featured in an AT&T/Beats Music commercial. Rev Run is also the national spokesperson for Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals and more specifically their Diabetes Awareness Campaign.
Presently, Lehman has closed multiple deals for Rev Run with HGTV/DIY, Food Network/Cooking Channel, Travel Channel, CB and OWN and has helped put Run DMC back together. Lehman was instrumental in lobbying for Run DMC to become the first hip-hop group to win a Lifetime Grammy Achievement Award.
Other recent notable successes for Lehman include his guiding Allman’s no. 2 New York Times Best Seller “My Cross to Bear" and Allman’s no. 5 Billboard Top 200 Record “Low Country Blues." Lehman currently serves as executive producer for “Rev Run's Renovation”; “Rev Run Sunday Suppers”; “Rev Runs Around the World”; the new hit television show on OWN TV “It’s Not You, It’s Men” starring Rev Run and Tyrese; “All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs and Voice of Gregg Allman” television special and DVD; and “Gregg Allman Live: Back to Macon, GA” recording and DVD.
In addition to his successful career in entertainment, Lehman has operated a successful law practice for the past 26 years and holds a law degree from the University of Bridgeport and a B.A. from Washington University.
Lehman is recognized by his professional peers, both lawyers and industry executives, as an expert in the entertainment business. He has appeared as a commentator on MTV and numerous radio broadcast programs, is a frequent lecturer at esteemed universities and has been quoted in many national publications.
