Kimi Takesue, assistant professor of film in the Department of Transmedia, had her feature documentary Where Are You Taking Me? have its theatrical premiere in New York City in March, opening to stellar reviews. The film was a Critic's Pick by Time Out-New York, received an "A" grade by the Christian Science Monitor, and was described by David DeWitt of the The New York Times as"Beautiful, fascinating....scenes appear as artfully composed as a painting (and some reminiscent of famed painters). But these are found moments, and they have movement and character as well as poetry...an unusual, visually rich visit to the nation."
Where Are You Taking Me? screens next at Cornell Cinema in Ithaca, N.Y., on April 24 at 7:15 p.m. and at the Wexner Center for the Arts at The Ohio State University on May 2.
