Annie Hsieh
Annie Hsieh earned both her bachelor of science and bachelor of music degrees from Syracuse University and the MM in piano performance from Washington University. While at Syracuse University, she studied with Fred Karpoff and Wei-Yi Yang, and was winner of the concerto competition in 1999 and 2000. At Washington University, she received the Nussbaum fellowship and other awards while studying with Seth Carlin.

She has appeared frequently in recital and master classes featuring guest artists such as Ray Herbert, Aldo Mancinelli, Catherine Kautsky, and Janice Saffir. She has performed with the Gateway Festival Orchestra, Musical Diversions Society Orchestra, and the Alton Symphony Orchestra. Among other awards, Ms. Hsieh has appeared on ABC and was winner of the Beethoven Society Midwest Piano Competition, the Young Artist Recital series, the Missouri Music Teachers' Association, and the Missouri Teachers' National Association. In 2002, she was first prize winner in the Piano for Life Competition and performed in a concert held at Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, MO. Ms. Hsieh currently serves as pianist for the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church and maintains a private studio in addition to teaching at Washington University.
