Our master of fine arts (M.F.A.) degree program in computer art explores digital media in a fine art, experimental context.
The diverse, flexible curriculum provides you with instruction in interactive media, procedural thinking, and virtual space and time. Emphasis is on creative experimentation and personal expression based on an interdisciplinary practice aimed at bridging the arts and technologies. You study within a community of other artists, including those in video, film, and art photography. You can also take classes in other areas of the University.
Our faculty, themselves talented working artists, offer opportunities for field trips, informal critiques and discussions, and local group exhibits that further foster a sense of community. Facilities include two Macintosh G4 labs and high-end scanning and audio/midi production suites.
