Acceptance into a graduate program in the School of Art and Design is based on a student's general application to Syracuse University's Graduate School as well as such special program-specific requirements as a portfolio review. For some programs, a personal interview with the program coordinator is required for those students seeking assistantships or fellowships. All of these requirements as well as deadlines are detailed in our section on Apply.
Most School of Art and Design programs offer fall admission only with deadlines of January 1 if applying for McNair Graduate Fellowships or University African American Fellowships and February 1 for all other applicants.
If you're an international applicant, you'll find additional information about studying at SU on the Graduate School web site.
For information on costs of attendance as well as merit- and need-based financial aid for all applicants, see Financial Information.
