A personal interview is recommended; no standardized exams are required. Deadlines for application and additional requirements: January 1 if applying for McNair Graduate Fellowships or University African American Fellowships; March 1 for all other applicants.
Conducting
(M.Mus.)
An audition and campus visit are required. Before the audition, applicants must interview with a member of the conducting faculty to discuss the audition. No standardized exams are required. Music Education
(M.Mus./Professional Certification , M.S./Professional Certification, M.S./Preparation)
Admission is through the School of Education. Students must apply to and meet the admissions requirements of the School of Education as well as the Setnor School of Music. An in-person audition is required; in unusual circumstances, an unedited, high-quality tape recording may be submitted. The level of skill demonstrated should be above that of the average senior recital. If this level is sufficiently high, the absence of a senior recital on the transcript need not exclude admission, but the recital must be made up as an undergraduate requirement. No standardized exams are required. Deadlines for application and audition: January 1 if applying for McNair Graduate Fellowships or University African American Fellowships; March 1 for all other applicants
