Walter’s jewelry and metalsmithing has been included in national exhibitions in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. Her work has also been exhibited internationally in England, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Korea, Malaysia, the Middle East, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan. Her artwork has been reviewed in magazines such as Metalsmith, Ornament, Craft and Craft Horizons, and newspapers such as the Seattle Times, The Boston Globe, The Irish Times, The Korea Times, and The Washington Post. Images of Walter’s works are included in the books 1,000 Rings and One of a Kind, American Jewelry Today, and the video production of Jewelry U.S.A.

Among the collections in possession of Walter’s jewelry is the of the Koch Ring Collection in Switzerland, the Renwick Gallery of the National Museum of American Art of the Smithsonian Institution, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and numerous private collections.
