Biography:

Dr. Bradley P. Ethington is director of the Setnor School of Music and associate director of bands at Syracuse University, where he conducts the University Symphony Band and teaches undergraduate and graduate conducting. He holds bachelor’s degrees with honors in music education and biochemistry from Michigan State University, and the master of music and doctor of musical arts degrees in conducting from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was conductor of the University Chamber Orchestra. 

Dr. Ethington has been guest conductor at conferences of the College Band Directors National Association, the New York State School Music Association, and the National Opera Association. He has published articles in the Journal of the College Band Directors National Association and the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles Journal and has been a regular contributor to the highly successful educational series Teaching Music Through Performance in Band (GIA Publications). Dr. Ethington is past president of the Big East Conference Band Directors Association, and has appeared as guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator throughout the United States and in Western Europe and Australia.
