Sarah McCoubrey is primarily a landscape painter. She also draws and works in various other media. She exhibits her work nationally and is represented by the Locks Gallery in Philadelphia and Robert Brown Contemporary Art in Washington, D.C. She has received numerous awards for her work including a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Painting in 2004, two Saltonstall Foundation Awards, a Maryland Council of the Arts Fellowship Award and a National Endowment for the Arts Individual Artist Award. She has had residencies at the MacDowell Colony, Millay Colony and most recently at the Ballinglen Foundation in Ireland.

Professor McCoubrey teaches classes in Drawing, Color and Landscape Painting.She received a BA in English, a BFA in Painting and an MFA in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania.
