Incoming Freshmen: Registration takes place in June for incoming students. You should receive a packet of information regarding mail registration, including a course selection sheet and information on courses, and a pre-addressed envelope for return of forms. Please refer to this information and follow its instructions. All incoming freshmen are automatically enrolled into 2 required foundation studios.
Current Freshman: Registration takes place in November (for spring semester) and April (for fall semester). You will receive registration materials in the mail. This will include a S.C.O.R.E. worksheet and your assigned registration time. All freshmen have an advising hold that is lifted after meeting with their advisor. |
Look through the Undergraduate Course Catalog and Time Schedule of Classes. Know what your requirements are, and make selections for your elective courses. It is suggested that you choose several alternative courses and possible schedules, as often first choice courses fill quickly and are closed. It is your responsibility to know your requirements and select your classes.
Make an appointment with your advisor two weeks before registration begins. Your advisor will make sure you are fulfilling curriculum requirements and can discuss your choices with you. Come prepared to your advising meeting.
Your advisor will sign your signed S.C.O.R.E. Advising Form and submit it to the department secretary to have the advising hold released. Holds are generally released by the end of the day that the form is submitted, but the process may take up to 24 hours.
Register online at MySlice once your registration window opens. You must activate your NETID prior to doing this.
If you need assistance in contacting your faculty advisor, contact Pat Drake, Foundation Department secretary. Other questions may be directed to the VPA Office of Student Services at 315-443-2517.
