Scott Holdredge

Instructor, Theater Design and Technology

Scott Holdredge is a designer for theater, opera, film, and special events. He is a freelance artist/designer working for Syracuse Opera, Syracuse University, and area high school theaters as a set/lighting designer and technical director as well. Occasionally he can be found behind a sound board. He was resident sound designer for Ocean Professional Theatre in New Jersey.

Holdredge has worked in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Diego in theater, corporate events, theme parks, haunted houses, theater, and film. He has worked on numerous short films and was an art director for Veronica Mars and designed a touring production for iL Circo, an acrobatic troupe traveling North and South America. He has art directed reality TV specials and competition shows and created military combat training environments. His work varies from opera designer one week to camp arts counselor the next, props artisan to garlic farmer to fine artist. At any given time he is designing for multiple opera projects, working on large-scale gallery artwork, or creating theatrical art projects of his own design.

Holdredge teaches foundation courses in drawing, painting, model making, and drafting.
