Assistant Professor, Communications Design
Rachel Aubrey has worked in the corporate sector of New York City design for the past 15 years with a focus on creative problem-solving, relationship building, and design as a means of communication. She has produced work for a wide range of clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, including Google, CBRE, and J.P. Morgan. She received a B.F.A. from the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan, where she studied graphic design. Her work has been recognized by international nonprofit organizations and awarded by experimental typographer and graphic designer David Carson.
Aubrey has extensive experience in deadline-driven, high-pressure environments where working both creatively and efficiently is of the utmost importance. To students, she brings a pragmatic approach to design ideation, processes, and client communication, with a strong emphasis on project management and professionalism.
