The Office of Academic Affairs is committed to offering a supportive and enabling environment for all faculty members in the college. We offer a broad range of services in support of faculty teaching, research, and professional development.

Arthur Jensen, Ph.D.
Senior associate dean
Senior Associate Dean Jensen is on research leave for the 2012-13 academic year. Please direct your inquiries to Associate Dean James A. Clark or the appropriate dean/administrator listed below.
Academic policies and procedures; academic program development; faculty processes, governance issues, and grievances; faculty mentoring; facilities and technology planning; assessment of student learning; special projects as assigned by the dean
Associate dean, assessment and accreditation
Promotion and tenure processes; full-time faculty search and hire processes; academic policy implementation
Associate dean, global academic programs and initiatives
Liaison to Syracuse University Abroad and University College; VPA summer programs abroad; VPA programs in U.S. locations
Senior administrator (Offices of Academic and Financial Affairs)
Academic responsibilities: faculty searches and hires for both full- and part-time faculty; new full-time faculty contracts; all part-time faculty contracts; part-time faculty union contract compliance; faculty load assignments; cancellation of under-enrolled classes. Financial responsibilities: reconciles and approves restricted, endowed, and sponsored chart strings
College’s curriculum processes; office’s web site maintenance; academic self-studies and accreditations; space planning; tenure and promotion; course and faculty evaluations
Clerical and administrative oversight for a number of academic processes within the Office of Academic Affairs and the college; direct phone calls and walk-in traffic; schedule appointments with the senior associate dean
