Marty Blake has been working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for many years. Her illustration is grounded in collage, most often executed digitally. Her specialties as an illustrator include editorial work, collateral, and packaging.

Clients include:

Book publishers: Atlantic Monthly Press, Doubleday, Alfred A Knopf, Little Brown, Melcher Media, Potter Styles, Random House, St. Martin’s Press, Viking Penguin, Vintage Books, WW Norton, etc.

Magazines and newspapers: Boston Globe, Business Week, Eating Well, Family Circle, Fast Company, Foreign Policy, GreenSource, The New Republic, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, etc.

Design firms and businesses: Fontina Valle d’Aosta, Parmigiano Reggiano, Ross/Madrid, Silver Partners, Smog Design, etc.

In addition to her professional work, Blake now teaches full time in the illustration program and is also the program coordinator. Her courses include illustration concepts, the business of illustration, computer graphics, graphic design, and typography.
