Assistant Professor, Fashion Design
Academy of Fine Arts Berlin-Weißensee

Vietnamese-born TÔ Long-Nam has always had an interest in fashion design at the forefront from an early age. He first studied fashion design at the Academy of Fine Arts Berlin-Weißensee before moving to Paris, where he worked for internationally renowned stylists Victoria Bartlett and Patti Wilson.

In 2005, he reverted back to his ultimate passion as a design assistant at Lanvin, where he stayed to hone his skills in menswear for two seasons. After that experience he designed his first collection and was nominated for an award at the 21st International Fashion and Photography Festival in Hyères. The feedback, in particular from Thierry Dreyfus, was so encouraging that he was driven to continue designing his own label.

After a collaboration in Milan with Alessandra Facchinetti for the Valentino fashion house, TÔ Long-Nam moved back to Paris, where he worked for Superfine London. He then took an assignment at Givenchy before receiving the nomination for the Who’s On Next 2011 competition. This competition, organized by Altaroma in collaboration with Vogue Italia, led to an invitation to show his FW12 collection during AltaRomaAltaModa. He has most recently been selected by Dazed & Confused London, in collaboration with YKK Int. as one of nine emerging designers to watch.
