301 Crouse College
Michelle Taylor is the Assistant Director for Operations at the Setnor School of Music.
She earned a B.A. in Music and Studio Art from SUNY Potsdam and a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from NYU. Originally from Grand Island, New York, Michelle moved to the Syracuse area after a fourteen-year career at Carnegie Hall in New York City, most recently in the role of Hall Manager. Her day-to-day responsibilities at Carnegie Hall put her at the front line of operational support, long-range planning, contract negotiations, event management, master scheduling, budgeting, and performance coordination. She had the opportunity to work with musicians, production managers, composers, arts administrators, local unions, performance staff, and the public. Michelle began at Syracuse University in the School of Architecture, in the office of the dean, before coming to Setnor School of Music in February, 2012.
As Assistant Director for Operations, Michelle works on matters related to scheduling, maintenance and management of facilities, and coordinates the marketing efforts of the school.
