Research Interests
Dr. Johnson's teaching interests lie in the areas of interpersonal and family communication. His specific area of research is in the convoluted communication systems of families attempting to cope with compulsive behavior (e.g. alcoholism, eating disorders, violence). Dr. Johnson has published articles in Family Process, Western Journal of Speech Communication, and Journal of Managerial Communication. While teaching at the London Center in 1991/92, Dr. Johnson presented a series of guest lectures in London and Denmark.
