As mid-semester is growing close and spring break is right around the corner, I am really feeling this semester flying by. And I have so much to do! As much as I want to give into the senioritis as it gets worse every week, I have to get on top of all my work!
I am still working on my thesis and our professors told us today that we are now on our own with class periods to work on whatever we are working on, so it is now up to us to work hard! Its scary, but I am glad I can work on whatever I want and not worry about exercises each week! I am currently working on getting my building into Revit Architecture program, a 3D drafting program we use. The building I am using is under construction in real life and being designed by local King + King Architects. So I was able to get in touch with the people over at King + King and I am going on a walk through of the site tomorrow morning. I am excited to see how the work is going and see my space inside first hand. It will be nice to be inspired what they are doing and how they are working with the building to figure out how I want my design to look.
For my portfolio class, I am still working on my resume and starting to put together my resume. I need to create a theme so it has a story line and goes together with my design work. I am excited to get that all together. I will also be working on redoing some presentation drawings or sketches from my work from younger years now that I have strengthened my skills. The portfolio is very important in showing employers the skills you have so that you can land the job you want. I know it is going to take many revisions to make it great, but I can't wait to see it in the end!
So I will be busy this weekend, spending most of it at the Warehouse. But I am excited to really get going on the design of my thesis and my portfolio. I have so much to do at once!
Have a great weekend everyone! :)
